Personal experience led me to discover my passion for nutrition, to learn how and why the body works the way it does, and to consider how I can more deeply love myself through this healing process.

My Story

My family and I were living in London in 2013, when my life started to suddenly narrow. My body was manifesting a variety of unpleasant symptoms that bewildered a variety of doctors both in the UK and in the US and left me feeling alone and not able to get out of bed. It was a frightening experience to be in pain, to experience exhaustion and not be able to get answers for what was going on with my body.

After trying a variety of western and eastern medicines and treatments I began to research health and nutrition. Not only did I start to find answers and a team of people who could help me, I also discovered a love for learning about the body. Food and nutrition provided actionable tools and strategies for calming my symptoms and assisting in my recovery and healing.

The following year I reconnected with a teacher from Southwestern College, where I earned a Masters degree in Counseling in 2007, who was teaching about the Ways and Means of the Power of Love. I participated in his classes in Europe, then continued them in the states upon our return in 2015. These classes continue to open my understanding of my physical symptoms. I started to consider that maybe this illness was here to help wake me up to the truth of who and what I am. Maybe I don't need fixing; maybe there is nothing to fix here - but rather an opportunity to gain wisdom and build intimacy with myself. I bring this understanding to my work with clients.

Upon returning to the states my family and I settled in the East Bay Area of CA and I enrolled at Bauman College in Berkeley, CA were I earned a certificate in nutrition consulting.  This program covered a broad range of topics with in-depth and current information. I developed skills for working with clients and groups regarding a variety of issues from digestion issues, to functions of the liver, to autoimmune disease, to cancer, and many more. I have also attended the Apex Energetics seminar: Mastering the Thyroid which provides a comprehensive understanding of the workings of the thyroid, how to identify issues associated with the thyroid and nutrition support.
